\"71scouts\"<\/a>\u00a0\"71scouts_2\"<\/a>\u00a0\"71LA\"<\/a> \"WY.scout\"<\/a>Is Andrew Kam the same person as \u91d1\u9b3c, the guy that we used to play soccer with on the sandy field\u00a0 before and after class at WYK?. I cannot tell from the dinner photo whether that was him or not, as I have not seen him for years. I never knew his real name anyway, and he got that nickname most likely because of all the phantom moves that he made on the soccer field. So I need confirmation on this. If indeed it is, then I would like to share a little anecdote with you all.\u00a0 By the way, Andrew Kam Cheung Lung is another student that Mr. Ho should know very well. When I looked up the Form 5 class photos in 1969-70 from Shield50, lo and behold, Mr. Ho was the Form 5D master cum Vice Principal, with Andrew Kam sitting on his right-hand side, implying that Andrew was also the class prefect. When I first became a boy scout in Form II, I was assigned to a small patrol made up of 7 or 8 boys.\u00a0It was headed by Ng Tin Hoi, currently Chair of Cable TV in HK. The second-in-command was \u91d1\u9b3c. There were also two other guys from my Form 2A class. One was Johannes Lee Wan Nan, who now lives and works in North Carolina; another was Paul Hsieh Chung Hing, who somehow is not on our mailing list.\u00a0 The overall leader of our Kowloon 11th Group was of course our ever indefatigable Mr. Ho. One of the major activities at the time was that each one of us had to prepare a dinner at home and invite all our fellow boy scouts to come over and sample it, as a means of showing that we could cook and wok, among other life-surviving skills. \u91d1\u9b3c, being the more senior buy scout, was the first one to host it. When we got to his home in Kowloon City one day in late 1967 or early 1968, his mom had practically got everything down pat, even though the dinner was supposed to be done by the boy scout himself. She filled the whole table to the brim with all sorts of expertly prepared and amazingly delicious gourmet dishes, and kept reminding us that we had to eat to our hearts’ content. It was definitely one of the best and\u00a0 most sumptuous home meals that I have ever had. Her culinary skills, together with her unbounded kindness, warmth and hospitality towards a bunch of young Wahyanites whom she never met before has\u00a0 forever left an indelible impression on me.
