Arising from Previous Discussion
on PICNIC –
2)     Anthony reported that the WYKAAO annual picnic has been decided to be held at the Serena Gundy Park (south of the Edwards Gardens) on Sunday, the 10th August 2014; and it should be free (as usual, but subject to the re-confirmation by the Board) for members, relatives and friends; and hopefully, there would be more people coming on Sunday (as compared to Saturday held last year);
3)     Andrew reiterated that, and as usual, WYKAAO board members would arrive at 10:00 for the setup; members and guests are encouraged to come after 11:00; and food would be served at 12:00 noon;
4)     Anthony reported that the Serena Gundy Park – Area 3, costs about $90 for the day; and whereas the former Milne Dam Conversation Park will cost $400 inclusive of taxes; it is being investigated to purchase a large piece of shelter (for about $100) to provide shade and protection from possible rain; and our scouting members can be put into good use;

on DATABASE –
5)     Anthony reported that Francis Ho has completed the database with some members’ info which can be linked to the www.wykontario.org website;
6)     Anthony suggested, to better control of the database, we should limit to a small group with editing and sign-in privilege to make changes:-
–        editors as per this attendance list;
–        other editors: Leo Chu (朱建中), Vincent Lee (李平章), John Ho (何潤權), Adrian Leung (梁文華).
7)     John Fung suggested to limit the display on “city” and “email”, but not “phone” #;
8)     Henry suggested to include a personal photo;

on HOMECOMING –
9)     Anthony reiterated that if we would like to pursue this activity in Hong Kong during the IC2014 (unofficial schedule on 4th, 5th and 6th December), he could line up some people to work out a Saturday afternoon “Home-Coming” Tea Party;
10)  2014 happens to be the 90th Anniversary of WYK;
11)  Anthony could seek someone to organize and solicit the participation of Mr Warren Chung (鍾偉良), the Principal; Mr Andrew So (蘇國榮), the former 11th Kowloon Group Acting Leader; Mr Paul Kua (柯保羅), the Deputy Chief Commissioner (Management) of the HK Scout Association;

Potential Upcoming Events:
1)     Henry reiterated his suggestion of the following outings:
–        Point Pelee National Park in Windsor, a birds’ sanctuary;
–        Flowerpot Island of the Fathom Five National Marine Park, in Georgian Bay;
–        Killarney Provincial Park, where the Group of Seven frequented for their works;
2)     John Fung expressed that, Point Pelee is a good place to visit; but it takes 4 hours to go one way; and thus, a day trip could easily take 12 hours to return;
3)     Anthony suggested that we could have an easier trip to visit the Martyrs’ Shrine in Midland and the Sainte-Marie Among the Hurons, Jesuit Mission nearby;
4)     John Fung suggested to take a 6 km hiking trail (for about 2 hours), starting at 2:00 to 2:30 pm; and finishing with a dinner at one of the restaurants in town;

Other Business:
5)     Anthony suggested to invite Shum Chi Hung (沈志雄) of New York, to join us for our gathering; and asked everyone to look for photos of our 11th Group; and
6)     there being no further business, the discussion was adjourned at 12:15 hour.
