in attendance – Anthony Ho, Henry Lam, Peter Wong & Andrew Tang
with copy – Jeffrey Mah
Summary of Discussion11th Kowloon
1) Anthony kicked off the discussion at 18:40 by saying that, with Leo Chu’s posting of photos of the 11th WYK Group in the Facebook, the latter has attracted a lot of interest from WYK scouts worldwide; and similar to those “interest” groups of the Winos, ttClub, Karaoke, it would be appropriate to form the “11th Group” to provide members with diversified interest;
2) Andrew was asked to take a photo of the first meeting and prepare the minutes;

4) Anthony proposed and would ask Jeffrey Mah to set up a forum for the “11th Group” as part of the www.wykontario.org website;
5) Henry reiterated that, with the availability of the database, he could pinpoint those key scouters; line them up (falling in); and move from then on;

8) scouts would be encouraged to attend the 30th WYKAAO Celebration Gala to be held on Saturday, the 19th October 2013, at Sheraton Parkway Hotel; and form their own tables with old scout activity photos to be displayed adjacent to them;

Potential & Upcoming Events
10) Peter went out fishing in Lake Ontario, which could be planned as one of the events in 2014;
11) Andrew proposed to take advantage of the AGM platform for the following “show-and-tell” evening of the “11th Group” on Monday, the 2nd December 2013, killing two birds at the same time;

Comments from Minutes of 1st meeting
I registered to the website and can now enter comments. It is wonderful to see this group developing under the leadership of our GSM Mr. Ho. May I suggest that we plan towards a reunion in Hong Kong and try to relive our Scouting experiences!…Stephen

Thanks, Stephen. Please round up scouts in your patrol. We will definitely look into your suggestion at our next meeting on 20131010 in Toronto.

I joined the Junior B Troop for 3 years and became the patrol second of Hyena, of which Stephen TY was leader.
From this experience I mainly learned about independence and discipline, including outdoor living and the Hong Kong Golden Jubilee Jamborette (香港金禧大露營), which was held between 27 December 1961 and 2 January 1962, celebrating the Golden jubilee (50 year anniversary) of Hong Kong Scouting with theme One World (天下一家). At Kowloon Tsai, now named Morse Park, the Jamboree hosted 2732 Scouts in the challenging winter with heavy rain.
I am sure that many of us still savour scouting spirit as a youngster, even into the present days.  Is anyone aware of this recent world scouting news, which is reported in the following? http://www.mootcanada2013.ca/en/2013/08/the-14th-world-scout-moot-concludes-in-style/
